David's friend from college comes to visit him in LA, but his flight back to China has been cancelled due to the pandemic. During the time they live together, David has a secret that he doesn't know whether or not she should tell.

This is an accidental love story.

An airplane lands in the ocean - that's an accident.

To human history, the pandemic is an accident.

He falls in love with someone who won't love him back - also an accident.

The birth of the story for the film is also an accident.

We don't always know what life will be like after the accident, just as we don't know how to deal with the accidents.

That's the sea we've never seen.
